WHAT IS Family Home Evening?

WHAT IS FAMILY HOME EVENING??

Members of my church, The church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, have set aside one night a week to be devoted to spending time together as a family. Typically this is Monday night. This means that Monday nights are reserved for Family Time. As a family we spend time together having lessons, playing games, or doing activities. Each Family Home Evening usually starts and ends with a prayer. Many families sing a song, we are not the best singers but even we try to include a song some of the time. And the kids' favorite part of Family Night is a treat after the closing prayer.

This is a great time to interact as a family and actually talk to each other without TV, phones, gaming systems, music devices or any other technology toys interupting.

WHICH FAMILY IS IT? #2

Which family is it? Instructions...

Read or show only one clue at a time. After the first clue ask the group if they know which family it is from the scriptures. If they can't guess the family yet give them another clue, continue one clue at a time until they know which family it is.

Which family is it?
#2 Family (Hard)

Hints
1. This families story started with a father, mother and two sons.
2. The family left Bethlehem when there was a famine.
3. The two sons got married in Moab to Moabite women.
4. The father and two sons died.
5. The Mother wanted to go back to Bethlehem. She told her 2 daughter-in-laws to go back to their own families.
6. One daughter-in-law would not leave her mother-in-law. She said she would go with her.
7. The daughter-in-law worked in the fields gleaning crops to support her mother-in-law.
8. The daughter-in-law is blessed and marries a kinsman to the family.
9. She has a son. She becomes the great Grandmother to King David.

Some may guess the two women talked about most in this family, but they need to name the patriarch of the family...what was his name??
